Desktop login
Sign in to the Lovision desktop application and manage the desktop session.
How desktop login works
The Lovision desktop app uses a browser-assisted login flow. When you sign in, the app opens your default browser to complete authentication. After you sign in successfully in the browser, the browser redirects back to the desktop app and the session is established.
Your desktop and browser sessions are separate — signing out of the desktop app does not sign you out of the browser, and vice versa.
Signing in to the desktop app
- Open the Lovision desktop app.
- Click Sign in.
- The desktop app opens your default browser with the Lovision login page.
- Sign in with your email and password (or connected provider).
- After successful login, the browser shows a confirmation and redirects back to the desktop app.
- The desktop app opens with your account loaded.
Troubleshooting
- Browser did not open? Try clicking Sign in again, or open the login URL manually from the desktop app's login screen.
- Redirected but desktop app did not respond? Bring the desktop app to focus — it may be minimized or behind other windows.
- Login keeps failing? Check that your browser is set as the default browser. Some security software or browser extensions can block the redirect.
Desktop sign-out
To sign out of the desktop app:
- Open your account menu in the desktop app.
- Click Sign out.
The desktop session is cleared. Your browser session remains active — you will not be automatically signed out of the web app.
Tips
- Check Settings → Security in the web app to see your desktop session in the active sessions list.
- If a desktop session appears in Security after you've stopped using that device, sign it out remotely from the Security settings.
