Node settings
The top section of the inspector showing layer-specific options based on layer type.
What node settings shows
The node settings section is the first panel in the right inspector. It shows the properties and configuration options that are specific to the currently selected layer type.
The content of this section changes based on what is selected:
| Layer type | What appears |
|---|---|
| Frame | Clip content toggle, auto-layout settings, sizing mode |
| Rectangle / Ellipse | Width, height, rotation, corner radius |
| Text | Font settings shortcut, resizing mode |
| Vector | Path options |
| Image | Replace, crop options |
| Video | Playback controls (mute, loop) |
| Component | Component name and variant options |
| Instance | Overrides, detach option |
Accessing node settings
- Select any layer on the canvas.
- The right inspector opens automatically with the node settings for that layer at the top.
When multiple layers of different types are selected, the node settings section shows only the properties shared by all selected layers.
Tips
- Select a single layer for the most complete set of settings. Mixed selections of different layer types will show a reduced set of common properties.
- Node settings is the right place to start before adjusting fill, stroke, or effects — confirm the layer type and basic structure first.
- For frames, check the Clip content setting if child layers appear to be cut off unexpectedly.
