Create a chart node
Understand the current availability of chart generation.
What Create Charts does
Create Charts is not currently available as a selectable generation mode in the editor. The menu entry may appear in product planning or disabled tool lists, but it cannot be selected to generate a chart layer yet.
Current workflow
To add a chart today, create it in a spreadsheet, BI tool, or another charting app, export it as an image or SVG, then import or paste it onto the canvas.
Using your own data
CSV and spreadsheet files are not currently passed into chart generation from the prompt input. Keep source data in its original tool and import the finished chart asset when you need it on the canvas.
Prompt examples
| Goal | Example prompt |
|---|---|
| Goal | Current approach |
| --- | --- |
| Bar chart | Export from a charting tool as PNG or SVG |
| Pie chart from data | Build from the source data first, then import |
| Line chart | Import the finished visualization asset |
After generation
- Imported chart images and SVGs appear as regular canvas layers.
- To update the data, update the source chart and import a new asset.
- Export the chart layer from the export panel if you need another raster copy.
Tips
- Keep the source data alongside the imported chart so values can be verified later.
- Prefer SVG export when you need crisp chart lines and labels.
- Always review chart values before sharing.
