Web Search
Enable real-time web search for supported AI models to ground generation in current information.
What Web Search does
When Web Search is enabled, the AI model can search the web for information relevant to your prompt before generating a response. This is useful when your task requires:
- Current or time-sensitive information (news, recent statistics, market data)
- Facts about specific products, companies, or people
- Research-grounded image generation when the selected model exposes the option
Web Search is currently exposed from image creation model options. Vector, video, and 3D creation modes may add Web Search later, but the toggle is only available when the selected mode and model support it.
Enabling Web Search
- Open the prompt input.
- Choose an image creation mode with a model that supports Web Search.
- Toggle Web Search on in the model or generation options.
- Write your prompt and generate.
If the Web Search toggle is not visible, the currently selected mode or model does not support web search.
What the model searches
The model determines what to search based on your prompt. It may retrieve:
- Current facts, statistics, or recent news
- Product information or company details
- Technical documentation or reference material
Verifying the output
AI models can misinterpret or hallucinate search results even when web search is enabled. Always:
- Verify key facts from the generated content against primary sources.
- Check dates and statistics before using them in a presentation or published document.
Tips
- Web Search adds latency to generation — expect slightly longer wait times.
- Cite the sources in your final content if it's for external use. The AI may reference information without attribution.
- Use Web Search only when the current facts could materially change the generated result.
