Paste from clipboard
Paste images, SVG, text, or copied Lovision layers from your clipboard onto the canvas.
What can be pasted
Lovision accepts several types of clipboard content:
| Clipboard content | Result on canvas |
|---|---|
| Lovision layers (copied with ⌘C) | Identical layer(s) at the same position or offset |
| Image (PNG, JPEG, WEBP) | Image layer at canvas center |
| SVG markup | Vector layer (paths preserved) |
| Plain text | Text layer at canvas center |
| Screenshot (from OS screenshot tool) | Image layer |
Pasting
Keyboard shortcut: ⌘V (Mac) / Ctrl+V (Windows)
Or right-click on the canvas and choose Paste from the context menu to paste at a specific position.
Pasting Lovision layers
When you copy layers from within Lovision (⌘C), pasting places a copy at the same position with a small offset so you can distinguish it from the original. You can paste across frames, pages, or projects.
Pasting images from other apps
Copy an image in another application — a browser, Figma, a screenshot, Preview — and paste it directly into Lovision. The image is uploaded to the project and placed as an image layer.
Some browsers require clipboard permission for image reads. If paste does not insert an image, check your browser's permission settings for Lovision.
Pasting SVG
SVG content copied from another tool (Illustrator, Figma, etc.) can be pasted as a vector layer. The paths are preserved and remain editable in vector edit mode.
Tips
- The editor must be active (not in view-only mode) for paste to work.
- If ⌘V does nothing, click the canvas first to make sure the editor has focus.
- For large multi-layer pastes from another Lovision project, all layers paste as a group — ungroup after pasting if needed.
