Interface overview

The Lovision editor is divided into distinct regions. Understanding each region helps you find controls quickly and work more efficiently.

The header bar runs across the top of the editor.

  • Main menu (left) — access file operations, preferences, and editor settings.
  • Project name — click to rename the current project.
  • Share button (right) — invite collaborators, copy a share link, or adjust access permissions.

Toolbar

The toolbar sits at the bottom center of the canvas and contains the design tools:

ToolShortcutUse
Select (Move)VSelect and move layers
FrameFDraw a new frame
ShapeR (rect), O (ellipse)Draw basic shapes
TextTAdd a text layer
PenPDraw custom vector paths
HandHPan the canvas
Image / MediaInsert images and media

Canvas

The central editing area where all layers are placed and edited. Interact with layers directly by clicking, dragging, and resizing. The canvas is infinite — you can place content anywhere.

Layers panel

The left panel shows the layer hierarchy of the current project. From here you can:

  • Click to select a layer
  • Drag to reorder layers
  • Double-click to rename a layer
  • Toggle visibility (eye icon) or lock (lock icon)
  • Enter groups and frames by clicking the expand arrow

Right inspector

The right panel shows properties for the currently selected layer: position, dimensions, fills, strokes, effects, text settings, and more. The inspector contents change based on the layer type (frame, text, image, shape, vector).

Floating inline toolbar

When you select certain layers, a small toolbar floats near the selection with context-specific quick actions:

  • Images — Upscale, Replace, Inpaint, Remove background, Download
  • Text — AI rewrite tools, font controls
  • Vectors — path operations
  • Videos — playback controls

AI input bar

The prompt input at the bottom of the editor is the entry point for available AI creation features. Type a prompt and choose an enabled output type such as Image, Video, Vector, or Create 3D to generate new content directly on the canvas.

Viewport controls

The bottom-right corner contains:

  • Zoom controls and the zoom dropdown
  • Fit view buttons
  • Toggle switches for pixel grid, rulers, layout guides, and multiplayer cursors

Tips

  • Press Esc at any time to return to the Select tool from another tool mode.
  • The inspector is context-sensitive — select a text layer to see typography controls, select a frame to see layout options.
