Permissions: View, Edit, and Manage
Understand the three project permission levels in Lovision and when to use each.
Permission levels
Lovision uses three permission levels for shared projects:
| Permission | What they can do |
|---|---|
| View | Open the project and view the canvas. Cannot make any changes. |
| Edit | Everything in View, plus: add, move, delete, and style layers; use AI tools. |
| Manage | Everything in Edit, plus: invite or remove collaborators, change others' permissions, and update link sharing settings. |
Changing a permission
- Open the Share dialog (click Share in the top-right corner).
- Find the person's name in the collaborators list.
- Click the permission dropdown next to their name.
- Select the new permission level.
The change takes effect immediately — the collaborator does not need to reload.
Revoking access
To remove a person's access entirely:
- Open the Share dialog.
- Find the collaborator.
- Select Remove from the permission dropdown.
Tips
- Default new invites to View when you are not sure how much access they need — you can always upgrade later.
- Reserve Manage for trusted team leads who need to control project access.
- The project owner always has full access and cannot be removed by other Manage-permission holders.
